Description Laurel Bluff Cotton Mill. Picture of what remains of the Laurel Bluff Cotton Mill, located on the north bank of Stewarts Creek west of Mount Airy in the Toast vicinity. According to information in SIMPLE TREASURES, the general store/mill office, the cotton warehouse, and the gristmill - all shown on the 1891 Sanborn Insurance Map - have long since disappeared.
