"Old Hollow" Stewart's Creek Primitive Baptist Church - Shutter on "Old Hollow" Stewart's Creek Primitive Baptist Church, located west of Mount Airy off Hwy. 89 to south in the vicinity of Toast. The deed is said to have been made in 1794, and the present building was erected around 1889. This picture was made for the Bicentennial in 1976. State Record 1389.

1911 E & A Celebration - Elkin. July 4, 1911 celebration of the arrival of the first train on the Elkin and Alleghany Railroad. A number of people are sitting and standing on the outside of the locomotive, and many others are watching on the sidelines. Depot Alley was named for the railroad.
